Janet Burpee has worked in the medical device industry for 18 years. She worked at Guidant developing the world’s first nitinol hypotubing, and at Nitinol Devices and Components (a J&J company) as Stent Manager in the infancy of nitinol stent manufacturing. She has degrees from the University of Virginia in mechanical engineering (B.S.) and metallurgy (M.S.).
Steve Burpee has worked in the medical device (12 years) and aerospace industries in materials research and process development. He has a broad knowledge of surface modification processes. Steve’s background in surface science and chemical engineering has been the source of most of BMT’s proprietary surface finishing technology. He has degrees in Chemical Engineering from Rice University (B.S.) and Princeton University (M.A.).
The Burpees have assembled a talented group of engineers, managers and skilled technicians who understand quality, performance and time-to-market.
